Within our climate finance portfolio, 41,250 full-time equivalent workers are employed by investments which are fully or partially qualified as climate finance.
Examples in our portfolio which are supporting this shift include Kenhardt Solar Project in South Africa, one of the world’s largest hybrid solar and battery storage facilities, which has seen strong female participation in the construction of its facilities (see case study). Loadshare, a logistics company in India, is expanding its use of electric vehicles, which is both creating green jobs for riders as well as avoiding emissions (see case study). And Magpet Polymers, which is pioneering sustainable plastic waste management in India, is not only keeping more plastic in a circular lifecycle and reducing emissions but also creating green jobs along the supply chain.
